I have a mother who used to struggle with alcoholism and addiction and to me that’s the vibe I got from this movie. The movie was some sort of addict and the monster was the addiction and the children were trying to help fight it but it didn’t t want to go away eventually making the mother lock herself in the room and losing all of her family and feeling that killing herself would be the only escape.
