They Cloned Tyrone was hilarious. It was fun and entertaining and not too far from the truth. The chemistry from the cast was tight and the jokes hit hard. I can't lie, I felt the "reveal" was kind of lame, especially after the final twist. Otherwise, it was still full of laughs, minimal preaching and spot on writing and acting. The rating should be higher, be we all know what butt hurt folks are giving one star.

I read the books decades ago, but this review is simply my impression of the tv series. The worst thing about this show is the 12 year old they cast as the main protagonist, Rowan Mayfair. Wait. She's not 12, you say? Could have fooled me the way she cries and sniffles and flushes her way through every dang scene! And that voice. That constant self-doubt. Maybe she's 12.5 years, because I find it unfathomable that Anne Rice would have created such a weak, whiny character who is supposed to be a grown woman and top notch surgeon. I find it hard to fathom, I tell ya! Her scenes with John Huston (brilliant in Boardwalk Empire) have pedophiliac vibes because Alexandra Daddario is not believable as a grown woman! Is this her fault or the director's? In any case she is horrible horribly miscast. I guess this is what we get from a female backed production intent on replacing the male gaze with the female gaze, but I have to say, as a female, if this is the best they can do, then all hail to the male gaze, because we could certainly use something like that in this series. I'm extremely disappointed in this series and very disappointed the women behind did not have enough balls to give their main character a pair.

I'm not much of a reviewer and I had to watch this movie for a class and boy! Am I glad I did. Many parts were uncomfortable and I found myself yelling at the screen...mainly at the character of Rose who embodies all the weakness of women I cannot stand. But Kirsten's performance was effectively well done. Benedict Cumbersnatch (whatever his name is) was the kind of guy you just wanted to kick in the knees until the very end. The real treat here was the character Peter. I love a movie that has you thinking you're going one way then kicks you in the groin with a plot twist you never saw coming until you see it coming. I liked this movie a lot. I'm going to watch it again. Not a lot of gunfights in this one, so if that's what you're hoping for...I'm sure you can find an old John Wayne flick to occupy your time.

This movie is sooooooooooooo boooooooooooooooooring. I'm not even all the way through and I'm pulling out my eyelashes and counting them in the palm of my hand. I'm not going to bother with the obvious comparison as John David is a big boy and fully responsible for his actions...which in this movie are whiny and unbelieavable. I'm sitting here longing for an old Steve McQueen flick or a genuine Harrison Ford thriller. Kudos, they put a black man in the lead, but to what avail? As other critics have pointed out, JDW has zero charisma, but I recognized that waaay back in Black Klansman. The script is flat and uninspiring and mega confusing and not worth watching again to figure out what is going on. I'm 3/4 of the way through and will hold out until the end, but I won't enjoy it.

I am disappointed like all the other one-star rated reviews, but I'm also extremely dismayed by this horrible music they keep playing! OMG Nothing can ever replace the original, but the original soundtracks actually sought out artists who were GOOD. I guess with all the children running around on the show, they felt the need to play "age-appropriate" music (foul-mouth rap, for example), but are children the focal audience of this trainwreck? In addition, NONE of the new characters have any chemistry with anyone and fight with each other if the wind blows. Ugh. The real stars are the sets. Obscene decadence!
