SPOILERS:
Avengers Endgame was a movie filled with many highs and lows, it was the result of 11 years and 22 movies, so it was obviously going to be a crazy movie. I think that the main sad parts were that Nat, Tony and Steve had to leave. As Nat was being held up by Hawkeye I think that the part when she said “let go” was really really a tear jerker for many of the viewers, and it was also really hard to see all the women come together to fight without Nat. Tony’s passing was also extremely sad given that he basically saved the entire universe by snapping his fingers. Steve’s passing was a really different way to how many of the viewers expected for him to leave. I think that despite how sad it was to know that he was gone and not Captain America again was really hard, but I enjoyed how he ended up finally “get[ting] a life” as he would say, with Peggy. The dance with Peggy was for me a perfect way to end the movie. Ok, so now that most tragic passings are completed with, I think it’s fair to discuss that Thor was basically a meme the entire time. As a fan of Thor, I think it was honestly just really disappointing to see him basically as a mess. This was meant to be the final avengers movie, and it was meant to be grand and something to remember, so it kind of sucked that Thor never really got to shine as much as he has in previous movies. To me, that was really the only thing I was disappointed in, other than that, there were many highlights. When Steve held the hammer and later the axe, I’m not going to lie it was amazing, he really stood out in the movie and I’m so glad that he was worthy of the hammer and axe considering his development for the past years. As I mentioned before, it was really sad to see the women of the mcu gather without Gamora, but it was really an empowering scene. Alongside that, it was amazing to see Pepper wearing the suit and fighting like a true woman. I think that despite the painful passings, we need to also appreciate the great moments of the movie, because it really was great. I think that the way that the passings were made as well were really special and memorable, such as Nat and Clint’s relationship being shown so nicely, Tony’s crazy significant heroic act moments before his death and Steve giving Falcon his shield and his dance with Peggy. I really did enjoy the movie and 100% recommend it.
