Chad Rasner – Google

Moon Knight is the first Disney+ series which entirely stars and hinges on a character never introduced in the MCU. I thought they did a fairly good job of it, although the end on the series doesn't hold up to the beginning. The first 2 episodes keep you on the edge of your seat with not knowing where the series is headed. The middle part of the series feels a little drawn out, and while the end helps wrap things up and possibly move this character forward, I felt it was very slow moving, and again, a bit drawn out. Oscar Isaac is wonderful in the lead role, and Ethan Hawke is solid as the main villain. I'm curious to see where they take this character in the future.

Sandy Wexler is pretty much a paint-by-the-numbers Adam Sandler movie. Which means it's fairly enjoyable if you've liked past movies of his and can get past the similarities with some of his other movies. It's pretty much a fish out of water storyline as Sandy Wexler is the manager to misfits and losers for the most part. He finds his first real talent, falls for her, faces hardships, changes and triumphs. It's similar to most of his other movies, but it's a workable formula for him. Sandler is likeable enough, even if the accent does begin to grate after a bit. Jennifer Hudson is solid, but plays it completely straight the whole time. Truthfully, the cameos might be the funniest part as almost 30 cameos are peppered through the movie. Sandy Wexler won't change your life, but it's an easy watch that doesn't offend the viewer.

Fun little show that I would have loved to have seen another season of. At times the series did feel a bit rushed. How fairly quickly Amy got over the death of her childhood friend seemed a bit odd. Also some of Raquel's choices seemed a bit much as well. Seemed she was more upset her lover was a demon than Amy was with her friend dying in front of her. Plot devices, eh? Anyways, this was a fun 6 episodes. Easy binge on a rainy afternoon.

The 13 year old me would have been so excited to see this movie, but to be honest, the 13 year old me liked the Masters of the Universe movie. While Justice League isn't overall a bad movie, it lives in a world in which the MCU does everything it wants to do better and more coherently. Affleck is ok as Batman, but why is it EVERY Batman actor has to be almost unintelligible? Gadot and Momoa are both fine in their roles, but don't bring a ton to the movie. Ezra Miller was more annoying than need be and shows Grant Gustin has a better handle on the role. I think at the end of the day, there's just too much to pack into one movie (Flash, Cyborg, Steppenwolf, and Mother Boxes are introduced; Superman's return, etc) and much of the interaction seems forced. If this movie came out before any of the Avengers movies, I think it would be easier to like. But it didn't, and feels like a substandard movie because of that.

This is easily one of the most unfunny shows I can remember watching. The situations and jokes are so tired and dated. The acting is fairly rough, and the show has the subtlety of someone getting hit by a car (which happens in season 1). I'm good with satire. I'm good with dark humor. There just has to be some kind of wit behind it. There is zero of that in this show. Rob Schneider, makin' copies of other better sitcoms is never as good that the original.
