An outstanding publication depicting the true essence of spiritual revelation from an African American perspective. I first read this book in 1997 while I was a student of the author, Rev. Dr. William H. Myers. The testimonies within this book of ministerial confirmation are riveting, enlightening, and genuine. I have shared this very special book with many of my colleagues in clergy (especially new upstarts), biblical students, family and friends. And will continue to do so because its imprint within the Church of the African American Society is dearly needed. We need to hear each others stories of how God called us out of darkness and introduces us to His marvelous light.
Although the African American Call to Ministry is inclusive in the Body of Christ it is likewise unconventional and the expressions of that uniqueness is captured in this delightful book.
