This is an amazing show about the trials of life and it's big questions. It talks about a families difficulties adjusting to the new normal after the oldest son Kevin is paralyzed from the waist down in a car accident. It follows the 16 year old Joan's experience as she searches for meaning when God expresses himself/ herself to the teen through random people. God gives Joan assignments through these people which as she undertakes which she doesn't understand at first but when she completes these challenging tasks she finds out why she was asked to do them. It always turns out something happens for the better to make a difference in the wider world when she cooperates with God. Show has great comic relief and is not preachy at all. The characters are genuine, funny and have many faults that they are struggling with that are very typical of teens as well. Interaction between family members is realistic as well. Acting is excellent. So sorry they didnt make more seasons of this. My daughter and I enjoyed watching this together when she was a teen and we couldn't agree on to many things at time. This provided us with an activity we could actually connect with each other on.
