For the first hour I found myself laughing hysterically with no care at all for my fellow aeroplane passengers.
In the CGI superhero era it's hard to find, and even harder to produce, a great movie focused on real human emotions, that can also keep my attention away from a smart phone or laptop long enough to actually say I watched it.
"Yesterday" took me to a place where I can happily recommend and share the good joke that this movie experience gave me with my close loved ones.
As the main character's moral dilemma developed further, I found myself bored and expectant of a disappointing cheesy romantic comedy story outcome. However the plot twists that hit like a hammer at the end were elegantly planned and although they were brushed with a romantic (but beneficial) touch, the bigger picture to the ending can redefine one's own ideal of success.
