Melissa Brannock

I thoroughly enjoyed this adaptation. It felt new, a bit different, but the same. I know the die hard Austen fans are picking this apart, but it wasn't meant to be the same movie we've seen already. Dakota was lovely, Capt Wentworth handsome and kind. My favorite of her books, this felt like Jane was speaking though Anne. I loved it.

It's not HIMYM, and if you're watching it for that sole purpose, you'll be disappointed. You can definitely tell where they drew similarities between the previous cast and the new cast, but it still feels fresh and different. I like that it's establishing each character and their own story lines instead of the sheer focus on Sophie. So far, I'm into it and I definitely think it will continue to grow and get better.

I am excited for season two! Ignore the Swifties and their 1 star reviews, this show is pretty good. It's like Gilmore Girls meets Shameless. Apparently people can't take a joke anymore, so the internet trolls have had their way with the reviews.
