I reaaallllllly wish they would've just made it into 4 movies, 1 for each episode of the book. If the movie stayed true to the book, I would've given 5/5 no doubt...
Yes, the art style fits the story perfectly (I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of the art). But that's all there is to the movie.
The story was wayyy too rushed. The 2nd and 3rd episodes were combined, but I think it would've been much better if they had rather just removed an episode. It just made the story hard to follow.
Also, I could not cheer for the male protagonist because the movie gave me no reason to. In fact, the movie just gave me the opposite feeling. In the book, I could actually relate to his thoughts and actions, but the movie just made him a pervert.
