I’ve been getting more fed up with this pathetic coverage each season. You can tell they only talk about what is on their monitor. If something isn’t caught by the camera man, it’s like it didn’t even happen (though they might bring it up 60 laps later in a replay). Their pit road coverage is pitiful, especially after a stage concludes. (Stage over-COMMERCIAL-cars leaving pit road) FOX interviews the stage winner AND covers the full pit cycle. FOX also has a much better intervals display, the top three/scrolling one on NBC feels dated and is downright frustrating. But they’ll tease you with the FOX version for a couple laps... I no longer listen to the commentators, I mute the tv and play mrn/prn on my little alarm clock radio. I also don’t even bother watching pre-race coverage! The embellished, sometimes fabricated drama and pointless Rutledge stories give me migraines. It’s painful, repetitive, mediocrity.
