I don't know why, but this movie pulled me in from the moment it started. I felt this movie in my soul, perhaps because it reminded me of toxic love relationships, and I just saw too much of myself in Zendaya. Her sass, her drama, her moodiness, her way of speaking logical facts fueled by emotion, her way of being pissed but making macaroni, and almost enjoying Malcolm's narcissism and emotional tirades...it just hit close to home. I fully enjoyed this film, and it seems that critics aren't recognizing how REAL this film is and how it captured life so well.
