I welcome unique independent films like this. The dialogue expressed is almost always spoken by women. The rest of the film is silent, with gentle loving music, expressive acting, sympathetic characters, beautiful scenery and no violence - a marvelous change!
Like others have expressed, you will be left wondering what it all meant, if there is a meaning intended to the film.
I like to think that it is a series of dreams - sequences intermingling in the mind of the Man in the Hat and the others he encounters.
Watch it and decide yourself - would you like to see a non-blockbuster sequel of this humble, beautiful film? Will you ever forget the eccentric characters, especially those in the clown car?
Isn't this gentle comedy charming?
