Other people kept telling me how awful this was. So I had to give it a go. It’s Brilliant. Don’t go in expecting medieval Discworld. Don’t go in with any preconceived ideas. And above all don’t sit there going…..”But….but…..He….He’s……a Dwarf….!!! Or he should be….it’s not like the book at all”. It’s not supposed to be. You recognise the traits in some of the characters for sure, But this is stand alone excellent. Vimes alone is worth the watch, and the surprisingly engaging Cheery. It’s always dangerous putting a much loved, adored, and mourned author onto film. But I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m glad I didn’t listen to all the pedants, and bad reviews.
