There were accurate things in the movie, but the CG was cartoonish, not what you expect from a movie made in 2019. The director took too many liberties! A dive bomber doesn't drop it's bomb in level flight, hence it's name. The American fleet was spotted and reported by a scout plane, not captured and integrated navy flyboys. The EXACT date and time and direction the attack on Midway was NOT known, hence the need to sent out scout planes from the island of Midway to search for the enemy. I can continue, but my conclusion is this was a very poor recreation of a great historical event.
