Honestly, the book was fantastic, but the movie wasn't quite as good. For starters, the lawyer/interviewer is called Martinez in the movie, but Fitzgerald in the book. The school Daniel is applying for is originally Yale, but they changed it in the movie to some other school I've never even heard of. Many details were missed out on, the jumps were large and quite confusing at times. I still enjoyed the movie, especially the end since I thought I was left hanging when reading the final page in the book. But overall, the critic reviews are right. The stars are great, the story is great, yet the film kept is feet on the ground instead of shooting for the stars.
