Deborah Macartney

Lynch’s artist flair shines through with details such as colour and lighting drawing the viewer into the mood and drama of the script. His innovative approach was in unfamiliar to many in the 80’s, but for me it brought a depth that ignited my curiosity.

Not what I thought it would be. A true hidden gem, with layers of comedy, drama and warmth. Gosling was excellent as his character Lars gradually evolved supported by family and community in subtle ways. I’d say a ‘must see’.
