I had really high hopes for this movie. Was quite excited and curious to see where Taika would take this character, especially after the stunning and very well made Ragnarok which was easily the best in the Thor franchise. However, I have to say, Love and Thunder falls flat on its face on most occasions, which is not a good sign. The dialogues are cringe-worthy most of the time and the action sequences just don't have the impact that Ragnarok had. Why that is, I'm not entirely sure but its definitely a combination of lousy writing and bad utilisation of the 80's music albums which just doesn't land. There are a few genuine jokes that can earn some good laughs, but after a point they just become so repetitive and boring, that you start to wonder how could they write such a script. I mean this is Marvel we're talking about! Character development is equally bad - they have reduced Thor to a jester in this film, undoing his amazing character arc from Ragnarok to Endgame. Valkyrie is extremely under-utilised and so is Natalie Portman's Jane Foster. But perhaps the most disappointing part of the film is the under-utilization of Christian Bale's Gorr. When you bring in a capable actor like Christian Bale, expectations ride high and if given the right character arc and good writing, they can knock it out of the park. However, the script just doesn't do him justice. Bale still manages to shine in the time and sequences he's given, but he could have easily done more had the script allowed for it. All in all, this film is a serious letdown from Marvel and is one of the weakest in Phase 4. Christian Bale's Gorr and Natalie portman's Jane are easily the saving graces for this film and is the only reason I'm giving it 3 stars.

Ok, let's get this out the way first, no film is perfect, but the sheer amount of hate and negativity towards this movie is simply mind-bogglingly misplaced to say the least. Jurassic World Dominion skillfully bounces back from the mediocre Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom and is easily among the best in the franchise ! It does this by introducing new and different approaches - adding a mix of family drama, wonderfully crafted action sequences and of course bringing the OG gang back from the Jurassic park series. While some editing is fast and choppy, these moments are few and far between and only serves to keep you at the edge of your seat. The hate towards the new concept of co-existence explored in this film and introducing a world where humans and dinosaurs now must survive together, is greatly misplaced. I mean let's be honest, you can't expect every Jurassic movie to take place on a remote island / within a house can you? While the new entry is CGI-heavy, more so than the previous installments, it has been very well done. Character development and storyline wise, they did a mostly excellent job, although you might feel that certain moments could have been cut from the run time. All in all, a very good entry to the franchise and serves as an excellent conclusion (if they decide to stop here, that is) to the Jurassic series by taking bold new directions and dialing up the dino - action up to 100!

Eternals is a very underrated movie, especially on RT whose score couldn't be more wrong! It's hard for an MCU film to match the standard set by Avengers Endgame. Eternals however manges to come very close and dare I say, at times, even exceeds expectations. The ensemble and diverse cast have been pretty well utilized (except a few) considering that there are 10 characters who all need sufficient screen time. With well fleshed out characters, beautiful CGI and a few surprises which you didn't see coming, it does a very good job at keeping you engaged. Let me just say the scope and scale of this movie is simply massive and is perhaps one of the biggest in the MCU yet! Chloe Zhao has directed very well, trying to get her unique perspective in, but at the same time, not straying too far from the MCU formula. Although at times it might feel like it isn't an MCU movie, it only serves to show the new direction the studio is looking to go. The result is a beautifully crafted film that delivers and serves very well to set up Phase 4 of the MCU on a bigger cosmic scale and broaden the horizons even further.

The drama starts out quite well, similar to After. But after the first 3 episodes, it just gets repetitive and the repeated back and forth between Jae eon and Na-bi is exhausting exhausting. The series tried throwing in some complications into the mix with Do hyeok's character, but didn't seem to want to make up its mind. The result is the weakest romantic K drama that I have seen so far. There's nothing to propel the plot forward. Also Song Kang acted much better in Love Alarm than this series. They should take inspiration from series' like Elite, specifically the character development, on how to keep the engagement going. Very disappointed with this series, although it had good potential.

Had a few doubts when I started this series, but oh man, talk about not judging the book by its cover!! First off let me just say, a very well written series and although its main theme is sports, it tackles all the themes of life and society very well, with some great highlight on real world issues. The kids are superb and their dialogue delivery makes all the difference in adding an extra punch to the humour! Some episodes are a real emotional roller coaster and you will end up crying in a few of them, but that just goes to show how well the series has been written. The chemistry between the cast is great and some do put up very convincing performances. The wrting makes you connect with every single character and I thoroughly enjoyed all the episodes. This is one of the best Kdramas I have watched so far and highly underrated. A must watch for all!

The third installment in the franchise, offers an inrtriguing new premise and a new direction that the franchise could go into. However, the script is so thin and characters are hardly fleshed out that it makes it an exhausting watch. Ed and Lorraine are as usual great and are the only ones who try to keep the ship afloat, but there's only so much they can do. As a fan of the first two Conjuring movies, inlcuding the bone chilling and terrifying spinoffs like the Nun, I was sorely disappointed in this third installment. In trying to take it away from the haunted house premise and give it a fresh take, James Wan and team have done what they sought to avoid. James Wan's directorial absence can be distinctly felt and the cliche screenplay doesn't offer much to do. While the film's opening sequence, is well crafted, the rest of the movie seems bland. Even the jump scares are visible form a mile away, and seem lazy at the very least. The result is a mish-mash of big proportions and a wasted oppurtunity at giving the franchise a fresh take and direction.

I'd give the movie 4.5 stars if I could! Monster movies are usually tricky to get right. But Love and Monsters manages to nail the right balance of romance, monsters and humour. The storytelling is quite polished with a new take on the "World's END" or dare I say it - Monsterification. The CGI for the monsters is by no means overdone, and looks very natural and quite creative as well! Surprisingly the emotion heavys equences though just a few are brilliant and Dylan manages to skillfully portray them. Dylan o'Brien's effortelesss acting and charisma just shines throughout. The bad guy seemed hardly fleshed out to me (Half a star gone for that though), but hey, every movies got to have one, even if just for the sake of showing us Joel's journey and character development. Hardly any time is spent in streching out the script and its quick pace keeps you hooked. Oh and the dog -BOY, is just awesome, serving as the perfect companion for Joel throughout the journey;) That was a great decision, to replace your standard travelling buddy with a dog. All in all, Love and Monsters is a brilliant film, with Dylan fitting perfectly in the role. You will enjoy the fast paced, humorous storytelling and some Monster action sequences!

Season 1 was undoubtedly the best while season 2 deviated slightly. Both covered the issues teens face today but found ways to keep itself engaging and realistic at the same time. Season 3 felt dragged and as if it was just made for the sake of it. It was a messy, melodramatic courtroom drama that frankly served no purpose in the storyline. Season 4 however recovers from the narrative shakes and being the last season tries to bring it full circle. It brings focus back to the central characters (Clay and gang). It isn't afraid of going for broke and has a lot of surprise elements. However at times it feels shy of proceeding further with the shock factor and recedes back. Nevertheless while the fourth season plot may have swayed away from the first two, it is still is engaging and enjoyable if you have an open mind. Season 4 is refreshing and easily earns a spot among the first two. It brings the show to a satisfying conclusion.
