While I would have liked to know more about Freddie's early life,
I loved this film for the enthralling music and Malek's performance. I consider it very beneficial cardiorespiratory therapy. There are many lessons in this film's simple script. I have seen it twice so far and will watch it again, with a box of Kleenex and only among the best of sensitive friends. Not perfect by any means but a magnificent tribute to Freddie and the transformation of human spirit from personal darkness to exuberant light.
"Good Thoughts, Good Words, Good Deeds"- thus spake Zarathustra, Freddie's beloved father and Freddie himself!
