Raazi - a movie that turns one’s attention to the fact that this country and its people need to feel that burst of patriotism instead of being mired in bitterness and cynicism that’s come to be! It reiterates the length people have gone to for the sake of their ‘mulk ‘ ...
It talks of the unsung heroes who continue to remain unknown and their songs for their ‘watan’ unsung.. perhaps their sacrifices too unrecorded, unrevealed in the name of it being unconscionable.
It talks of courage and daringness and the sheer willingness to put your life on line that doesn’t come easily in an era where one is too busy watching one’s own nail shape.
It talks of meaningless wars that are fought, the collateral damage in the name of ‘higher good’ and all that one loses as one walks towards that thing we call freedom/liberation. In the end there are no winners.
Just the burden of having to live with it all. The blood never gets washed off.
Raazi - A must watch!
