** Quite a read but I've tried to be honest and informative** First off I have to say I'm a big fan of plants vs zombies. Really enjoyed Garden warfare and Garden warfare 2. While the variants added a little something extra, fresh and fun to the game there is still fun to be had in Plants Vs. Zombies BFN. It's actually highly enjoyable. TTK and a few other things really desperately needed work and there was an update released a couple of days ago addressing that very issue. So it's not like they aren't working to make the community happy or to make the game even better. My only real complaint is they don't put you in matches with people in or around your level. So most of my character upgrades are recruit or advanced level while I can enter into a match with people that are elite and specialist. Wouldn't be an issue but the upgrades give them the upper hand against lower level players and it can become very discouraging very quickly. There is no beginners matchmaking either like there was in GW2. I've been playing it for days on end now and while I'm getting better and my characters are getting leveled up I still find myself at a great disadvantage when going up against specialist and elites. My only other complaint would have to be that there is no sticker shop in BFN. It's actually a huge step in the wrong direction in my opinion. Card packs were so much fun. Always getting something new and fresh and trying to find all the pieces to a certain character. Not to mention the fact that there were numerous packs to choose from..Ranging in coin price but no matter how much or how little you decided to spend you got MULTIPLE things in each pack..So in BFN they have a machine that you pay and it spits out a cosmetic. The issue = To buy anything it costs 30,000 coins and you only get ONE item...not 2..not 3..not 4...one item. You could buy a pretty cool sticker pack in GW2 for 30,000 coins and get MULTIPLE items. See the issue? So I've touched on the bad or not so great things... All of that being said, I really am enjoying the game. I think it has a lot going for it. Good hlgame modes. Cool content. Gameplay is good. Graphics are amazing. Loving the campaign part of the game as well. Love that there's a free roam area to explore and you can scrimmage with other players before entering into a game or for fun if that's what you want to do. They have already put out a Christmas update with Christmas/holiday themed items in the shop. Giddy Park looks like a real winter wonderland. Oh and also BFN has a battle pass and you don't have to pay to win the items. Not with real money. You earn "bulbs" and can unlock new content which is all Christmas/winter themed right now. So I bought the game for $29.99 on sale for black friday in the Xbox store and I'd have to say that I've already gotten at least $30 of fun and enjoyment out of this game. So sure..There are things I miss and things I think they should fix or bring back but at the end of the day I bought the game to have fun and enjoy myself and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying it or having fun. There are so many people hating on this game because it's different than GW or GW2...but reality is ..I don't want to buy a "new" old game.. I can play GW2 when I want to play GW2. This is supposed to be new and different. But different doesn't necessarily mean bad. I've played some BAD games in my time and this certainly isn't even in the vicinity of being a bad game. Anyway. Thanks for reading my review and if you are hesitant to buy the game then wait for a sale but I truly think if you go into this game with eyes open...knowing it's a bit different from GW2 (as it should be) then you'll enjoy the game and have fun exploring. 🌵🌹🌻🌽🌰🧟‍♂️🧟🔫🎮

I bought this game on Xbox One the day it released and played it non-stop for the first year or two. They were always adding new content and had great holiday events. The game absolutely held my interest. I dabbled in other games over this first 2 years but was always pulled back to Overwatch. Sadly I'm pretty burnt out on Overwatch right now and it's certainly not out of a lack of love for the game. I am a die-hard fan. I have two stars and almost to my third star. I have put hundreds and hundreds of hours into this game. But lately I feel like content is less and less and the holiday updates are less and less or shorter. Game modes are just on cycle and repeat over and over. That being said if you are NEW to the game then you have everything to work towards and it will be just as fun and exciting and addictive for you as it was for me. But for old players who have been around since the beginning not so much. Loot boxes have become pointless. I have almost every single item you can get from loot boxes so then I get duplicates and get coins but the issue there is I've bought pretty much everything you can buy with coins. I've just gotten to a stalemate with the game. I really really wish they'd put like an elite area into the game for us old players who have leveled up so much and unlocked everything. Give me a reason to come back and keep me excited. The game is absolutely fantastic though! I'll always love Overwatch and I'll always recommend it. I've by far gotten my $$$ out of the game and now my kids and wife are hooked on it and working their way through the levels and unlocking everything. Must buy!!! If you haven't bought it you definitely should!
