A good but highly overrated game. The writing is, for the most part, excellent. Unfortunately there's no real sense of camaraderie within your party. Sure, each party member has a tight relationship with you, the protagonist. But in over 100 hours of playing the game, I noticed they barely ever talk to each other outside of some random trivial banter here and there. So to you, they feel like family, but to each other, it seems like they're work acquaintances who barely know each other, let alone been on a sprawling journey together. When something important happens to a character, you can talk to other characters and they'll opine about it to you, but they'll never approach that specific character and have anything to say to them. It's just very bizarre how this team of people have essentially no relationships with each other outside of interacting strictly with the protagonist. I haven't seen nearly enough people point out this fact, and I think it is massively immersion breaking and really hurts the game overall.
