A new and interesting take on drug cartels, with a focus on money laundering, and a seemingly typical white American family caught in the middle. The primary setting is also unique and relatively unknown to many I would think, taking place in Lake of the Ozarks, a summer resort area of Missouri which allows the creators of this series to introduce our Chicago-bred family to a wide-variety of local neer-do -wells including drug dealers, thieves, corrupt cops, and other interesting characters including a pastor who gathers a flock of summer visitors in their boats each Sunday and preaches from the deck of his boat. Having seen Jason Bateman primarily in comedic roles, I think he does a great job in this dramatic series, as do all his co-stars. I'm looking forward to the final episodes.
