This program is pure fiction and bears almost no resemblance to the actual USAF Project Blue Book. They take an actual investigation and then fictionalize the entire content by adding people and circumstances out of thin air. There really was a Project Blue Book and a Dr Hynek and most of the rest of it is mythical.
