Folks are complaining about the meal delivery plans rather than the book here. It IS diet food and if one doesn't want it to taste like diet food then prepare your own meals (via the cookbook or other sources) rather than having food delivered. Also, folks that are complaining about serving size in the prepackaged meals = folks that don't understand WHY it is they are overweight. The prepackaged meals are the entre, and it clearly states that on the box as well as on the meal site - it isn't the whole meal, you are supposed to add your own vegetables to go with the meal. Adding your own foods outside of what is delivered is also made CLEAR on the meal delivery plan site. I do better with meals delivered to get started and while the food isn't spectacular, it is diet food that is decent for prepackaged meals and it is simple to heat up and add a serving of vegetables to. If you didn't understand that the meal plan does not provide everything you will eat then you didn't read what you were signing up for. I did Nutrisystem (4 years ago) and successfully lost 65lbs, after I quit smoking a year ago I gained back 20lbs so I am doing a "reboot" kind of thing with the South Beach meal plan (which is owned by Nutrisystem btw) and I am experiencing the same success. Of course I read ALL of the details and fully understood what is included in the plan and what isn't and for those whining that it's too expensive - get the pricing on Jenny Craig if you want to see what overpriced really looks like! All of the complaining about the meal program is just another excuse to avoid taking responsibility for your own health and weight. My best suggestion to all is to RESEARCH the different plans, READ all of the details, determine what you can afford and THEN choose what you believe is the best option for you personally whether its meal delivery or preparing healthy meals yourself. Just DO something to get healthier & get the excess weight off. And KNOW this, the SB meal program DOES work for many of us, don't discourage folks because you couldn't adhere to the program you signed up for.
