Ever evolving, Destiny often polarises opinion, but if it hits the spot for you it will run and run. Solo play is pretty standard loot and shoot, upgrading your character with more powerful abilities and gear, but it absolutely shines with company. Matchmaking options mean you can jump in and out with other Guardians in most of the activities which makes for high-energy speed running most of the time. If you ever get the chance to raid it's by far the pinnacle of online gaming of its type. Gather up to 5 friends and shoot, jump (die) and puzzle your way through expansive dungeon experiences. The satisfaction from the teamwork this requires is often amazing. I've played since the Destiny 1 Aplha on PS4, and now I'm cross-platform with Stadia. I can't see myself stopping playing anytime soon.

More of the same, with a few quality of life additions, such as a ping system for chat free communications. The UI and map system could do with an update to be honest, but this is glorious Borderlands, arguably at its best, even if some of the humour seems tired. You'll already know if it's your bag if you've played any of the previous games, but if you're new, there's a lot to like here too - check out some gameplay videos if you're uncertain.
