Heat 5 isn't worth it. A complete downgrade from Heat 4, I'd even say that Heat 3 and Heat 2 had better physics and gameplay. I like the added customization options, but the all around gameplay and enjoyability have taken an extreme dip. The game has become so dependent on drafting at tracks like Michigan and Indianapolis that they just aren't as fun anymore. Just a tap on the rear of an AI car will send it around, and drop your speed by about 20 MPH. Still no depth at the season mode, I don't feel invested in it. The stats board is completely broken. Certain stats won't show up, and you can't look at your past seasons. Online mode has more crashing than wreckfest, still no option to get rid of collisions in online like games like forza have had for years. Jeff Gordon is now an option in quick race and online, which as a lifelong Gordon fan I love, but his character looks nothing like him and they basically took his Axalta wrap and slapped it onto a Camaro, which Gordon never raced in. The soundtrack is half nice, and a quarter scream rock. Heat 5 is a step in the wrong direction for 704 Games.
