Amazing show. Extremely entertaining show, but also an important historic document. Must watch.

An excellent story that is exceptionally well told. Keeps you guessing all the way to the end, by which time you will be rooting for just about everyone even though you know what they've all done. Includes a few interesting story telling methods sprinkled throughout that might throw a few people off, but they will grow on you as you get to know the characters and the main events in the story. The most novel, and the best one by far ("the dance") is near the end of the last episode. One of the best things about this show is that though there are clearly main and secondary characters, the secondary characters (of which there are many) are all extremely relevant.

Excellent production quality, great story, the costumes and sets are wonderful, and I particularly like the accents -- the Taiwanese flavour of Mandarin is very clear and easy to understand and has always been my favourite.
