I went in thinking this would be some director's take on a campy, bloody video game and the whole thing would take it too seriously. I was so surprised at having so much fun watching it and immediately wanted to watch it again. Seriously, super fun. Need a sequel and maybe a third so we can see the REAL mortal kombat tournament now that we have the bloody pleasantries out of the way. I feel like Raiden needed more time and Cloe felt slightly underused until the end. Still, I would come back for all of these characters. I loved watching them fight and I feel like the acting and koreography was excellent. I had lots of fun and I needed this kind of fun after not being able to go to a movie theatre for a whole year.
