I thought the film was an effective horror and reasonably original let down by. a weak and incomprehensible ending

I can't make up my mind if I liked the film or not. I much prefer Tom Hanks later films than his earlier ones. But I found this film a touch sentimental although well acted. Americans seem to like sentimentality, British not so much or never used to. But that could be changing as we become more Americanized. Watch it and make up your own mind

I have not seen the last episode of Unforgiven but I have been very impressed with the latest series. The plot unravels in a most satisfying way with numerous twists and turns. Very watchable.

A film about friendship and rejection set in 1923 on an island off the coast Ireland. Wonderful cinematography and an unusual, moving story. Impeccable acting and fascinating characters. I recommend this film to anyone wanting to see a movie that is out of the ordinary

Disappointing, theatrical, overblown. Who cares who dunnit

I don't usually enjoy feel good films. But I did feel good after watching this one. A really good film.

I first saw this film soon after it came out and enjoyed it. I saw it again recently and found it a little dated but still very watchable

I find it difficult to review this film because I not sure what I think of it. It has a feel good manner if a little smalzy at times. It has enjoyable moments and some cringe worthy scenes and dialogue. An excellent musical soundtrack. But it deals with the 'troubles' in a very simplistic way although it is seen through a child's eyes

A gripping thriller using the dramatic events of Chamberlain's Munich adventure to good effect. It portrays the PM in a positive light in contrast to most readings of history. The story, acting and cinematography are excellent
