Disclaimer- I am aware of the political smog around the film. But gonna review it purely based on the movie and nothing else.As i can see a mix of propoganda oriented reviewing here so felt it was important to disclose. I just love that bollywood is taking on real grim issues one by one....padman, toilet-ek prem katha,udta punjab, dear zindagi and now this,CHAPPAK. PROS AND CONS -Amazing acting by deepika padukone and vikrant massey,these guys moulded into the role so far that it didn't felt like they were stars at all,it was like watching the entire thing playout through a window. - Meghna gulzar didn't hold back on anything,not even one second of the bit where the attack happened and its immediate aftermath felt watered down,i was genuinely uncomfortable! (in a good expected way) -Supporting cast , especially the parents were great. -Great message "agar acid bikta hi nahi,to fikta bhi nahi." CONS -Too grim. Not exactly a light date movie,there were some eased off moments but the downward curve was so low. The silver lining wasn't bright enough for me. Unfortunately that is the reality of the true story. -I was not a fan of the the actress who played the lawyer,she lacked a bit of gravity imo. With what was happening with malti her reaction seemed relatively unfazed. -Would have loved a bit more backstory on malti,pre attack...i only connected with the character because of empathy,not because of relatiblity. Nonetheless thoroughly enjoyed the experience, would definitely watch it again,when i need something inspirational. A good get up and fight sort of movie. A shoutout to another short film on YouTube called "Aunty ji" starring acid attack survivors Anmol Rodriguez along with veteran Shabana Azmi, that short film is not about the attack itself but brushes through the life of the survivors in a relatable fashion. Rating 4/5. Definitely wohld recommend P.S- side note, irrespective of the leading ladies personal opinion (which she's entitled to have),go watch the movie for its message and the true story its potraying,you won't regret it. Art is art.

I'll tell you how it ends..... horribly,mind numbingly boring, so much potential with the plot and great cast....all lost because the writing was so lazy,i am glad i watched it on netflix, would've regretted paying for it.

Already alot has been said about the movie in the public reviews before me,i would just like to add one more thing. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE CRITICS in this movie, INSTEAD READ THE PUBLIC REVIEWS,this movie is made to be a series and LAAL KAPTAAN is just the intro part,its compelling,shows history and is backed up by amazing story telling(just like tumbadd). Go watch this epic,its one of the best movies of this year. Only one critic i have with this movie is that the villain wasn't as layered or fleshed out as i would have expected it to be,however the protagonist is appropriately layered to keep you.invested.

Aweful movie...point by point review so that you don't have to waste your time even on reading reviews..... Over-acting,no story,no logic,apart from Katrina Kaif everyone was aweful,that is because Katrina had no role. Hard to believe so much of money was spent on this shidz....shameful

i watched the entire season in one go,it is definitely griping,the mixture of spy thriller with a little off beat type of comedy was thoroughly entertaining. Its a MUST WATCH.Its not like your usual spy/special force movie with guns blazing and 3rd degrees...Its rather more realistic that how both the Anti-terrorist & even the terrorist have to follow a code of conduct, Each side believing that their cause is just. All in all wonderful content. Also kudos to the cinematographers and actors,alot of scenes were done in single shot no cuts,specially gun and chase sequences,which made me sit on the edge of my seat as it felt oh so real.Salute Only 2 problems i had with the series was:- 1) Some characters were intended to be portrayed as "cool" like Gul panag and a few others but they fell really flat for me, borderline cringey...this causing some of the dialogue appear forced 2) Every season end should have some closure of the looonnngg build-up along with a new or twisted event which keeps their audience gripped for the next season. "The Family Man's" was too open ended which really seems like a prank to the audience.granted it will make me wait for the next season but i feel a bit cheated IMO Nonetheless i still definitely loved the series,its like a more funny and thrilling version of "Abtak chappan" and covers some real life issue's beautifully. Rating- 4/5 P.S- Some people disliked the series,amongst them most have the issue that the series portrays hindu extremism and army brutality in kashmir...I thoroughly disagree with the inference, They showed both sides of the story according to various REAL NEWS articles. They are showing that real heroes of our country do not care wether you stand up for national anthem or not as long as you value human life & that is again portrayed beautifully.

The sexual innuendos suggests an adult series but the the childish horror and cliches takes the series to "special" demographic. This should not be on Netflix...it will really lower its standard....my god! the entire show is a cringe compilation. Better to see dhinchak pooja's new song 10000 times tham this sad excuse of horror Seriously let down by sujoy ghosh. Side Note- Why the hell are people comparing this to stranger things,please don't insult a good show,thank you.

Dont listen to the crtics,awwsome movie,very realistic,awesome story,must watch
