Eleanor Armstrong

Initially I thought I would not enjoy this film but as I continued to watch I found it riveting. The relationship with Alma who basically became his mother. I doubt anything sexual transpired although she likely wanted that to happen. He became infantile and she settled on being his caretaker even to the point of causing him to be ill so she could nurse him back to health and needing her. Fascinating. May watch it again t see what I have missed in this amazing film,

I would give Spencer a 0 if I could. It made Diana appear like a lunatic, which she wasn’t. Thé actrice did portray her voice and mannerisms accurately but she did not have her striking blue eyes and smile. The royal family and their rigid and ridiculous behavior of only eating when the Queen starts I believe to be accurate. Talking to the ghost of Anne Boleyn, wandering into her old home on the Sandringham Estate made Diana appear to be having psychotic breaks and I don’t believe she ever did. A poor film, in poor taste of a much loved Princess as far as I’m concerned.
