As a reader of the Tony Hillerman novels, I can personally say that the series is true to Hillerman’s intentions. The casting is excellent, the acting superb, the landscape gorgeous, and the story line complex and skillfully intertwined.

Leslie’s personality pushes the show. I also like recognizing the grocery store employee of the week with a $2,000 reward.

Cry Macho pulls at your heartstrings with a poignant story, Clint Eastwood as actor, director, and master of subtlety, and Powerful New Mexico as the backdrop, posing as Texas and Mexico. I laughed and cried and squeezed my partner’s hand. Go see it!

A story of tragedy and triumph, of remembering and honoring family. Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds grasp the significance of Maria’s father’s words, Remember us. I cried. Well done.

The pairing of the traditional detective and the compassionate churchman working together to solve crimes is intriguing. And there is always a theme and usually a touching moment. I’m in season 3 and won’t stop until it’s over.

A heartwarming program with positive messages about faith and helping others. Can’t wait to see what the main character will do in the next season.
