Comparing any work of art; it is arguably unfair to class one movie as superior to another as ultimate choice is inter alia based on so many subjective facets. But for anyone whose life has been radically changed by circumstances along the storyline embraced by 'Brief Encounter' watching the film can rip one apart to the entent that it is close to being impossible to watch, and its after effects temporarily devastating. It left me utterly broken hearted (again). Choosing one's 'best' movie is then massively narrowed down to simply the best brief encounter movie. But is it right to choose a movie which re-devastates our life like no other? It's a tough call.

Anthony Borgia wrote a series of books all about the nitty gritty of the spirit world which I first read in the 1960s - a time when I first surged into research into spiritualism, psychic, and metaphysical matters. And as I am now of an age when the next world is unlikely to be far away I have re-read some of them.
