This series is beyond annoying when the first season was released in 2022 with 6 episodes followed by season 2 released 2 years later in 2024 with 5 episodes. When that much time goes by between seasons how many people lose interest? And season 3 will be released in 2025 or 2026 with 5 more episodes. These people need to get their shi* together and stop messing with their audience. In this day and age, many don’t have the patience or desire to engage a series that is this disorganized.

Having watched Band of Brothers twice and The Pacific twice, safe to say I loved those series, 5-stars each. Masters of the Air is more like a 2-star viewing experience… just seems to drag on with minimal character development as opposed to the other two series. And Austin Butler as Major Clevin did nothing for me… his acting in that role felt like casting wanted to put a Hollywood star in the series that had zero emotional connection to the audience. Felt like he injected bland Pearl Harbor movie type vibes into a series that needs more emotion and depth. Spoiler: we find out Major Clevin dies in a mission (without ever seeing the mission) which left me feeling like it didn’t matter much at all because his character added little depth to the series. There wasn’t much connection to him as a character. And that exemplifies Masters of the air for me, little to no connection and no induced emotion from the series. Bland.

Just watched episode 3 of season 4, and the series is 3 stars average so far. Some are raving about it but thinking that is aimed at hyping the show to generate interest. My issue is when I am watching season 4 it seems like I am watching the series Fortitude which is set in the fictional Arctic Norwegian settlement of Fortitude where there is Arctic research and fishing. The Fortitude series was commissioned in 2013 and started airing in 2015. The premise of the show is a woolly mammoth is found and put in a shed to thaw. Members of the town's native population believe an ancient evil has been awoken and supernatural things are occurring. People start dying. In True Detective, set in a frozen settlement in Alaska, there is a research station and fishing. The scientists are found naked and frozen outside, and they are moved to an ice rink to thaw as supernatural things seem to be happening. The similarities make it seem like a been there and done that viewing experience.

What was once a decent show for the first several seasons slowly slipped with each succeeding season until it spiraled into comical ineptitude, nonsensical writing, mind numbing plots, horrible acting and just a complete waste of time. Seasons 6 and 7 are among the worst seasons of any show and the first episode of season 8 is so horribly bad the best thing to do is simply turn off the show and run away. What is most frustrating is that producers/writers/network actually believe they have a product worth presenting to an audience that must be viewed as brain dead. Fear the Walking Dead has become one of the worst series of all time after beginning well. I suppose some of us wanted to believe a good product would re-appear but alas that was never the intention of this horribly bad series.
