Great dialogues, gripping subplots, unusual story, strong n intense characters very well written, awesome performances (all the characters are completely believable & convincing), as realistic as you would find in bollywood, great art direction (not at all over the top). Though i felt that the director didn't create a wow climax which would've been good, overall it's a great movie. It's the kind of cinema a 'thinking' movie buff would love to watch. The mystical touch made it all the more intriguing.
Saif Ali Khan is just getting great at his art. And all these roles be it in sacred games or laal kaptaan, he rocks... He kills it! When i saw Main Khiladi Tu Anari as a child i didn't imagine a laal kaptaan in my widest dreams. I'm sure u get what i mean.
Just love the way this guy keeps redefining what he can do.
Deepak Dobriyal is one of the highlights of the movie. Wish his character had more to do though he's doing enough he's a delight to watch.
A must watch if u truly love cinema n story telling. Internationally and even nationally there are great movies made, greater than this one too yet I'll say this movie is a great attempt n deserves lots of appreciation simply for making a story like this one.
Just keep any prejudice you have aside before watching it.
I think they didn't market it well enough despite the trailer being a rage... There should've been proper marketing strategy following up the trailer i feel which could've boosted the BO nos. When such trashy films do well at the BO this one could've at least recovered the investment.
I totally loved this movie n I'm a world cinema lover so i know what I'm saying. Do catch it n enjoy.
