If this show came out 20 years ago, it might have been better received. It's a step above Xenia, Warrior Princess. But coming off the tail end of the golden age of television, this feels very amateurish. I gave it till midway through episode 4 and I have no burning desire to restart it and I'm basing this just on acting, dialogue and some of the costumes and set. It's like they paired people off at random without any sensitivity to chemistry. Friends don't feel like they like each other. Lovers dont feel like lovers. And why is everything so clean in this "medieval" world? I'm not even going to bother with the pacing or the plot. Maybe if I run out of others things to do I may watch another episode, but there's nothing here that feels urgent or enticing.
