The money spent on lavish authentic props and battle scenes, and then the music is diminished to dreadful fanfares and even Irish jigs and a hurdygurdy: not in 1197 … music was just ? Different… other than this, the plot was more about France than Robin and his merry men… kinda going back to Costner… at least the kamen score fills the chest with immense pride and of course Sean Connery for all of 25 seconds !
