(!!Slight spoilers!!) It’s a typical school romance movie. An innocent smart girl with a kind boyfriend meets the bad boy of the school. She changes his perspective on love and plays hard to get not realizing that she’s also falling in love with him and vice versa. The main characters are amazing actors and portray emotion well. It was like I could relate and feel their pain, but it wasn’t to the point where I was crying with them. (I guess I just don’t like showing emotion) The ending was a big cliffhanger letting the audience use their imagination to try and fill in the puzzle piece of if she resolved things and got back together with him or left him for good. The fact that this was based of a wattpad story is crazy. A fan fiction in real life. It’s cliché but in all the right parts. There were many some-what expected plot twists. The movie leaves the spectators wanting more but if they use their mind to come up with ideas of what will happen later on, it leaves them with the content of what they wish to happen and the sadness of what they hope doesn’t happen. A second movie would be nice, but it is not fully needed. It was a movie that, I don’t know, makes me feel happy? It’s the casual love movie, but there were many realistic parts like (spoiler) when Tessa’s mom caught her with Hardin and saying “he’s going to break your heart” and then cutting her off. I didn’t think that I would write this much but to summarize, you should definitely watch it. I don’t understand why people are leaving bad reviews but it’s worthwhile if you love a stereotypical school love story. <3
