I am Ch’ort’i Mayan, and I am friends with Amazonian Tribal Chiefs (as well as members). The Amazonian people are kind people, with a genuine issue of deforestation killing their way of life- causing brutal droughts, oil spills in their rivers, etc- causing them to all starve. Point blank, this movie is racist and perpetuates a stereotype of the savage native. But if you’re a racist, then you’ll like this movie.
