Spoilers! - It was Meh. Episode 1 was the best, but it just kinda went downhill.
There were a few moments in the series that made no sense or made me question the characters' choices. Some moments that'll make you go, "Hold on, wait, why didn't you just..." or "Err, just do X and problem solved".
For example; A team finds Dracula's body under the sea and sees it's been preserved quite well. What do the researchers do? Do they carefully extract body/coffin to prevent any accidents? Take any precautions or reduce the chances of any risks?
No. They shove their hand in his mouth. Which he bites and escapes.
In Episode 2. A group of survivors is in this make circle of bible pages. Dracula can't cross so the survivors are safe. But one of the survivors (even it has been established to him that vampires can't easily die) leaves the circle and tries shooting him.
You'll see characters make stupid or dumb decisions in episodes 2 and 3 which kind of took me out of the picture.
Dracula and Van Helsing have these great personalities that I enjoy watching. There are some moments that are generally interesting and have an interesting twist and flavor to the monster legend. How Dracula learns and adapts to the 21st century is good to take, enough though it could have been more interesting to see Dracula explore modern England from the eyes of an 1800's Monster.
Some side characters are okay, but most are forgettable or not very interesting to make me care. They have SOME good scenes, but not enough that makes me recommend this to friends.
Overall. It was OKAY. Not great, but Okay. Something to watch and pass the time.
