You never truly know how the father and daughter will react to each other. The relationship is so complex and well-acted, without being overdone.
That relationship and the acting of the two principal cast members are fantastic, Jeremy Piven and Olivia-Mai Barrett honestly carry this film. However, when they are not on screen together, the film's charms and complexities fall away, as much of the supporting cast weren't able to convincingly portray the story set out for them.
Unfortunately a rather hit and miss film.
