Awful. Ego trip for director. Just awful. Stick with the A&E production with Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth. Head and shoulders over this nonsense. Amazing to me how many directors, screenwriters, what have you, think they know better than Jane Austen, whose work has, after all, been in print two hundred years, and has God only knows how many movies, plays, TV shows based on her work. Just amazing.
