The topic of mental illness was poorly used and misrepresented. I hate it when filmmakers do this, they don’t take the time to get it right and make it about “telling an interesting story.” The executives rule. Again, the use of the “Tibetan Singing Bowl” and “dreamscape” we’re also poorly misrepresented. Everyone raved about the acting... I thought it was monotone, outside of Luke’s Mother (Mary Stuart Masterson) who gave a powerful performance but was cut short due to the writer, director and producer. I found the majority of the other cast fell victim to the same issue of impenetrability. Pretty superficial stuff to me.
Let’s Continue to demonize mental illness, spectrevision, great job.
The ending... seriously?... I’m out. (Drops the microphone)
