Hell Rains From Above

One of my favorite movies of all time, which is saying a lot because I’ve only seen it once. I’m a horror/body-horror junkie; but some of the scenes in this film were a bit too much. Not in a negative way, but a delightfully shocking way. A genuinely scary movie that I feel I only find in foreign films now a days. Plot is very interesting from the start and keeps you hooked in for the whole ride. I highly recommend if you’re not overly sensitive to horror/body-horror

This was a great movie. I’m a body horror junkie, and some of the scenes in this movie even made me squeamish. However it’s not just body-horror for body-horrors sake. The plot kept me interested through the movie. I highly recommend this movie

Halfway decent movie, but I was expecting more Horror/thriller and this isn’t close to any of those genres.

Terrible movie. I’m all for slow burns and confusing plots but this movie is literally nothing for an hour and 40 minutes and then has 1 interesting thing happen with 10 minutes left in the movie. The thing is is that nothing throughout the entire movie alludes or hints at what happens. There’s no build up whatsoever. Save yourself 2 hours

I really enjoyed this movie. It was a smidge too long, but all-in-all it kept my interest throughout, all the way to the crazy balls to the wall ending. I definitely recommend! Follow for more unpretentious, Un-pompous movie reviews!

***Viewer Beware*** I for sure didn’t understand anything in this movie. I’m definitely not smart enough and I definitely didn’t get any of the many references to plays, art, and other things. However I stuck with it until the end. And then of course I went to the internet to have someone else explain it to me. And after listening to the explanation and thinking about the movie with the new perspective it is definitely a dark, poignant movie. Definitely left me feeling depressed as many of us feel like we deserve a life full of wealth and Hollywood inspired love and achievements. Sadly most of us are just stagnant as time moves through us like a cold gust of wind and eventually we wake up old and realize our life didn’t work out the way we wanted. It’s hard to say to look up an explanation first, but then it spoils the movie. But an explanation is definitely a must-do post credits. ****ENDING SPOILER ALERT****** If you have any suicidal thoughts please seek help, there are resources and people that genuinely care myself included. Most importantly if you are suicidal do NOT watch this movie. I survived suicidal thoughts and this movie took me back to that place, completely stopped me in my tracks for days. Viewer beware

When I watched this movie I was very confused as I’m sure everyone else was. I was very captivated by the music in this movie however, instilling a sense of wonderment. The music kept me entertained through the confusing plot. When the movie ended I felt cheated on answers as I am not very good at deciphering movies like this. I almost always search “ending explained” and once I did and found the meaning of this movie and had a few hours to dwell on it I can comfortably say that this movie is definitely worth the watch. It’s not gory or violent but instead is dark and mind bending. Great movie overall. I also want to end this with some sort of a serious note; if you are having thoughts of wanting to hurt yourself please seek help. There are resources and people that care; most importantly do not watch this movie. I’m fairly health mentally and this messed me up for days because I survived being suicidal and it took me back to that place.

This movie has an awesome idea but unfortunately sucks at execution. Terrible acting, terrible scenarios, a lot of scenes that are edited terribly. Don’t waste an hour and a half of your life.

This is the movie I consistently go to when having a conversation about favorite horror movies. I personally don’t scare Easy, but for the average horror fan this movie is plenty scary. Gory enough that it makes me wince, great story, and an all around awesome movie. I highly highly recommend.

Very boring movie. Underwhelming violence. No satisfaction in the overall outcome. Not worth your time. I’m not one of those that only likes main stream movies, I actually enjoy small independent movies more. This is not one of them.
