While the books held the reader to the end wanting for more, the Shadow and Bone series fell far short. Mixing the Six of Crows into the series led to a disconnect between plot lines and characters, and when the focus should have been on Alina and the search in her new found power, you were drawn to the Six of Crows plot. Many main important parts are left off of the show completely, and filler put in its place that did not even happen in the books. Only hitting the main plot points, left too much open for the who, what and when’s, if you were not familiar with the book series. The casting and film locations to build the world for tv were the most on point parts. A little disappointing that they cut short a great story, and did not live up to the amazing story to be told.
