I expected a lot more. Comparing this film to Me and my Shadows the TV mini-series about Garland's life, this film is a yawn Fest. Nothing happens. Renee Zellweger certainly looks like Judy but doesn't sound anything like her and should that not have been the point since Garland is known for her voice primarily? The constant jumping back and forth between Garland around the time of The Wizard of Oz and 6 months before her death was unconvincingly bad. The actress playing the young Garland looks nothing like the real Garland. I mean nothing. If you're going to spend 38 million dollars on a film at least try to find someone who at least resembles her as a teen like in Me and My Shadows. What should have been up for every nomination possible was the biopic on Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, STAN AND OLLIE. That's a fine film.
