I read it recently while researching on 18th/19th century Bengal. Very interesting since this is the post-1688 ( Glorious Revolution) period that was marked by Whig supremacy and the steady evolution of the cabinet system of governance. Along with Namier's classic account and by many historians, Gilmour offers a refreshing insight.
