I've never read the books and I've never played the game but I fully appreciate the genre. I was hesitant at first (and even moreso when I was immediately confronted with gratuitous female nudity for quite literally no reason...and again...and again....and again throughout the series- I like breasts too but dang, give a chick some gratuitous male nudity while you're at it lol) but it grew on me with every episode. The stories suck you in and even though the timelines can get confusing at times, it really is worth a watch. Every time Giralt says the F-bomb in exasperation, an angel gets its wings.
