I don’t have enough words or time to say this, but Lovecraft Country is so deep into the psyche for some to grasp the details and real seriousness of what blacks endured. To portray it in the form of horror; which it was, is AMAZING. I understood the second episode on a deeper level. There were masonic symbols, some would say witchcraft is performed and it brought forth of how real dog whistles was shed to light. The average person who is not up on black history won’t really grasp it, but for the individuals who really pay attention will see a lot of the evil undertones that had to be endured. Just look up both the authors of the books. One was racist and wrote about horror only, while the other author supposedly mocked the racist author and changed his horror books into a horror story of how blacks were treated during those times. It’s Absolutely Genuine and genius as to how it was done. The second episode is when everything unfolds!!! Love it! I wish it was on NETFLEX!!! I believe HBO has the monopoly on the series right. To all my history buffs who may not appeal to horror. I would not recommend this show, if I didn’t think it was first exciting, educational, informative, action packed and funny too. Just watch the first episode to get a brief understanding. Pay close attention, then watch the second episode that’s when everything starts coming to LIGHT!! I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! Excellent JOB!!!!!
