I'm guessing that this film was to create a new backbone for all of future Godzilla movies to come. Why? Because none of the abilities or story arcs line up to the early 20th century films have created from their own myths. But it was nice, only nice.

I like and am a fan of King, and other well known and not so known, horror films. My honest opinion is that it was okay but not good, the writing was lazy, the scenes were too predictable, most of the movie was just putting me to sleep, and it's trailer exaggerated the whole movie as an amazing and number one movie of 2019. The movie was putting me in to sleep, the trailers got more excitement out of me than the whole film itself.
